The Rotary Club of Suntree is part of Rotary International, a worldwide service organization with more than one million members in 35,000 clubs who do local and global service projects. The Club was established in 1985 and has completed many local and global service projects including:
- The development and maintenance of Suntree Rotary Park
- The creation of the Pavilion at Suntree Elementary and the Viera Regional Park
- Renovations at Brevard Rescue Mission and Space Coast Center for Mothers and Children
- Suntree Location of Harbor City Ambulance
- Financial support for the Children’s Hunger Project, Promise of Brevard, Boys and Girls Club, and Brevard Schools Foundation
- Scenic Byways – Road cleanup along Wickham Road
- Building schools and orphanages in LaPaz, Honduras
- Medical Equipment for hospitals in LaPaz, Hondorus
- King’s Hospital Blantyre, Malawi, Africa
Rotary Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races and creeds. Our weekly meetings are held from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. every Friday at the IHOP, 8201 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne 32940. We welcome all visiting Rotarians and guests, so please join us for breakfast, camaraderie and an insight into the meaning of “Service Above Self”.
